About Me

About Me

Hi, I'm Shachaf – the hands, head and heart behind With the Bend.

In my studio, I create each sculpture from a single strand of black aluminum wire, bending and shaping it entirely by hand.

My art is inspired by the flowing movement of yoga, the grace of dance, and the elegant simplicity of single-line drawings. With each gentle twist and turn of the wire, I aim to capture a moment of balance and serenity – much like holding a yoga pose or a single continuous brushstroke brought to life.

Every piece is then mounted on a wooden base, transforming a simple line of metal into a figure that feels alive with motion and meaning.

Creating these sculptures is a slow, mindful process that I pour my heart into. I love how a single unbroken line can tell a story of strength, flexibility, and peace.

No two sculptures ever come out exactly the same – each has its own little quirks and personality. This means every figure you find at With The Bend is truly one-of-a-kind, made with care and intention from the very first bend to the final touch.

A One-Person Studio with a Personal Touch

With The Bend is a one-person shop, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

There’s no assembly line here – just one artist working joyfully in a cozy corner of my home. I wear all the hats: designing, crafting, packing, and sending off each sculpture.

From the first spark of an idea to carefully wrapping your order for delivery, I handle every step myself. This hands-on approach ensures that each creation carries a personal touch and the warmth of human craftsmanship.

What I cherish most about this journey is the personal connection it brings.

When you purchase a sculpture from With The Bend, you’re not just buying decor – you’re connecting with me, the artist who shaped it. It means the world to me to know that something I made with my own two hands finds a special place in someone else’s home or heart.

Thank you for supporting my one-person studio and for sharing in the art, passion, and little bends of wire that bring us together.
